Full Description

The SlackTech Highline Leash Kit has the all the components necessary to keep you safely connected to your highline. The leash is comprised of 12 ft of 9.9 mm Dynamic rope threaded inside a finely woven 11/16" tubular nylon webbing. The leash is tied with a figure 8 knot to two 2 5/16" Drop Forged Steel Rings. The SlackTech Highline Leash Kit is designed to meet the rigors of repeated highlining.

Dynamic rope threaded inside tubular webbing creates leash that is highly abrasion resistant and slightly stiffer than dynamic rope alone. This makes for more stable leash ring movement while walking because the rings are less prone to whipping around. The highline leash girth also provides a more friendly experience while leash climbing after that big whip; it's soft on both your hands and your feet!

The two 2 5/16" Drop Forged Steel Rings provide huge security when out in the middle of your highline. There are no seams, burs or welds in these rings, just pure strength! Each ring has been proof loaded to 3,600 lbf and are paired together to distribute the load of a leash fall over a larger surface of the highline.

When tying into your harness it is recommended that you use a backed up figure 8 knot. The 12 ft leash provides enough length to have both figure 8 knots (tied at rings and harness) to have an overhand backup knot tied for safety. Taping up the leash tail on the ring side helps to prevent more erratic ring movement and keeps the leash from getting tangled in your feet while walking over the rings. ALWAYS double and triple check your knots! Make sure they are tied correctly!
